Ravindra Prasad Patnaik was born on 10 March 1970 in Jeypore, Orissa, India. He is an Indian music composer with more than 75 movies to his credits in three south Indian languages like Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu. His Mother tongue is Odia, he was born in Orissa while his father was working in Orissa and he won three Filmfare Awards and three Nandi Awards. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Rayagada Autonomous College, Rayagada, Odisha.

Career:
In 2008 he directed his first movie, Andamaina Manasulo, a musical love story of a 13 years- old girl falling in love with a 21-years boy and with a message on how should be an ideal orphanage. In 2010 his second release movie in December was Broker, about political brokers, the movie was shortlisted for the final race in the National Awards. Both these released movies had him receive two Nandi awards for best story writer for the years 2008 and 2010. In 2012 He directed a bi-lingual movie Friends Book in Telugu and Mugaputtagam in Tamil about the strength of the social networks. In 2013 He directed a supernatural thriller movie Amy and the movie is set in a different backdrop in the USA about the Amish community.
In 2016 He directed and produced a movie Tulasi Dalam, for which he composed 5 songs and has also acted, and in the same year he acted and directed in the film Manalo Okadu. As a singer, apart from singing in his own composition, Patnaik has sung for almost all the lead composers including Maestro Ilayaraja, and has sung about 300 songs. He composed an international album and the first of its kind in the world, on-time signatures called Chakra the Signature of Time which he applied for prestigious Grammy Awards. He has introduced about 25 singers including Mallikarjun, Ranjith, Ravivarma, Kousalya, and Nihal. In 2004 He acted Telugu movie Seenu Vasanti Lakshmi in which he played a blind singer and got very good applause for his outstanding performance and in 2010 he acted in Broker.

In 2016 He acted, directed, composed music and produced the movie Tulasi Dalam and in 2016 after getting a huge positive response from the public for his Directorial film Broker on Corruption, He dared to question the media’s Ego and its ignorance in collecting their News with his film MANALO OKADU. He is one of the topmost Music Director in 2001 his movie Nuvvu Nenu is top Album for which connected a lot till now it is one of the best albums ever.
