Jr.NTR's original name is Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao is an Indian Film actor by profession who predominantly works in the Telugu film industry. He is a Kuchipudi dancer, Television personality, and playback singer.

His mother is Shalini Basker Rao. He has two half brothers Kalyan Ram and Janaki ram, Janaki Ram passed away in an accident. Nandamuri Suhasini is his half-sister. He is a grandson of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, nephew of Bala Krishna and cousin of Taraka Ratna and Nara Lokesh who is a politician.

His first movie as a child artist is Brahmasri Viswamitra in the year 1991. He also portrayed in Bala Ramayanam movie as a child artist which won the National Film Award for the Best Children's film of the year in 1996. The first movie in a lead role is Ninnu Choodalani in 2001 but couldn’t reach the success rate. His next release Student No.1 directed by SS.Rajamouli brought hum stardom with a biggest blockbuster hit of the year. He also acted in a Television serial Bhakta Markandeya in 1997.
