Biography:
Kaikala Satyanarayana is an Indian actor who predominantly worked in the Telugu film industry. Apart from acting, he is also a producer and director. At 59th National film awards, he was a jury member for South Region II.
Personal life:
K.Satyanarayana was born on 25 July 1935 in Kavutaram Village, Krishna District. His father was Kaikala Laxminarayana. Satyanarayana completed his schooling from Gudlavalleru village and intermediate from Vijaywada. He is a degree holder from Gudivada college. He got married to Nagewaramma on 10 April 1960. They both had two sons and two daughters.
Career life:
Satyanarayana went Madras in search of his movie career. DL Narayana noticed and offered him a role in Sipayi Koothuru in 1959. It was directed by Changayya. He was noticed by one and all as his resemblance was similar to NTR. NTR noticed him and thought him a perfect candidate to play dupe to him. From then he acted in many movies as a dupe to NTR in the movies. His first dupe was in the movie Apoorva Sahasra Siraccheda Chintamani in 1960. Later he was cast in a negative shade in most of the movies and supporting roles as well. This versatile actor almost performed all the shades of acting contributing for over 4 decades to Tollywood. He acted in more than 750 movies. Legends felt like Tollywood is blessed to have an actor like Satyanarayana in this field. He portrayed in all nine rasas in a different way in his own style and hence titled as Navarasa Natanaa Sarvabhouma.
He established his own production banner Rama film productions and made films like Kodama Simham, Bangaru Kutumbam, Muddula Mogudu, and many. In 1996 he won as a Lok Sabha member from machilipatnam constituency.
Awards:
He received the Life Time achievement award in 2017. He got Nandi award for Best feature film Bangaru Kutumbam in 1994. In 2011 he received Raghupathi Venkaiah Award.
