Biography:

Amanchi Venkata Subramanyam was an Indian character actor, comedian, film producer, director and journalist who predominantly works in Telugu film industry. He is regarded as one of the popular comedian much famous for his dialogue delivery and expressions. He featured in more than 500 films and won 4 state Nandi awards which included the best comedian and best character actor.

A.V.S. Subramanyam was born on 2 January 1957 in Tenali, Andhra Pradesh. His zodiac sign is Capricorn. He was introduced to the film Mister Pellam in the year 1993 by director Bapu. He won the Nandi award by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and many other awards for his role in that movie. He also worked on TV shows and won many private and government awards. He produced movies Uncle and Ori Ni Prema Bangaaram Kanu. He also directed four films namely Super Heroes, Ori Ni Prema Bangaram Kaanu, RoomMates, Kothimooka. For the three terms, he has been worked as a general secretary of the movie artists association.

He died on 8th November 2013 as he sustained Kidney and liver trauma for some days. In 2008 liver transplantation was done to him.  Due to multiple organ failure, he died.
