Nandamuri Balakrishna is a Tollywood actor popularly known as Balayya. He is the sixth son of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao who was a great actor and Former Chief Minister. He is more famous for his powerful and extra-ordinary dialogues. He has performed in more than 100 films with different roles.

Balayya was born on 10 June 1960 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He was born to Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and Nandamuri Basavatarakam. His zodiac sign is Gemini. He has 7 brothers and 4 sisters namely Nandamuri Ramakrishna(died), Jayakrishna, Sai Krishna(died), Mohan Krishna, Hari Krishna(died), Ramakrishna jr, Jayashankar and sisters Daggubati Purandareswari, Nara Bhuvaneswari, Garapati Lokeswari, and Kantamaneni Uma. He got married to Vasundhara Devi in 1982 and both were blessed with 2 daughters and one son. Daughters are Nara Brahmani and Mathukumilli Tejaswini and son Nandamuri Mokshagna Teja. He gained a bachelor of commerce from Nizam College, Hyderabad. Dancing is his hobby.
He is now a president of Basavataraka Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research in Hyderabad.

His film entry started in the year 1974 with a movie Thatamma Kala .his the first debut was Sahasame Jeevitham in 1984. Since then he acted in many movies. Hi, the 100th movie was Goutama Putra Satakarni released in 2017. This film was dubbed in Tamil and Hindi also.
