Akul Balaji is an Indian actor, television host, and also a dancer who worked in Telugu and Kannada languages. He got fame for co-hosting a reality show “Pyate Hudgir Halli Lifu” in Kannada which ran successfully.

Akul Balaji was born on 23 February 1979 in a Railway Kodur town in Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh. He was born to Shri. Akula Bhaskar Rao and Smt.Sarala Devi. At the age of 16, he moved to Bangalore and he got trained by smt.Usha Datar in Bharatanatyam. Then joined Natya STEM Dance Kampni as a contemporary dancer which was headed by Madhu Nataraj. He also learned Kathak from Guru Smt.Dr.Maya Rao. He did an advanced acting workshop under Mahesh Dattani.

He got married to Jyothi in 2008, who is a niece of actress Vijay Nirmala. They both were blessed with a boy named Krishaan Nag.
Career life:
His acting career started with Tv serials in which he started acting in small roles. Some of his serials were Agatha, Guptha, Gamini, Yava, Janumadha Maithri, Jagalagantiyaru, Pellinati Pramanalu, etc. His biggest hit shows on tv are Kuniyonu Baara, Comedy Killadigalu, Pyate Hudgir Halli Lifu, Halli Haida Pyateg Banda, Pyate Mandi Kadige Bandru, INDIAN, Thakadimitha Dancing Stars, etc.
He was honored with the “Most Popular anchor award” by BIG FM in 2010. He also won BIGG BOSS Kannada season 2 in 2014.
