Vignesh Shivan was born on 18 September 1984, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is an Indian Director, Lyricist, Film Actor, Writer, Musician, Poet, Screenwriter who knew for his work in Tamil cinema. He studied in Santhome Hr Sec School, Mylapore. After completion of his studies, he decided to make his mark in the film industry.

Career:

He made a short film and after getting Dharan to compose music for it, Showed the movie to producers, Gemini movie Circuit, and then to Silambarasan and both parties agreed to collaborate to make it a feature movie [2012] Podaa Podi. The point producers of the movie, Shanaya Telefilms, released a series of posters in June 2008 publicizing the movie, while Silambarasan and he toured in Canada scouting for locations and agreeing on a deal with Mayor Ron Stevens to a movie in Orillia and Toronto.  Vignesh continued to be active in movies by working as a lyricist, filming independent music videos, and appeared in a cameo character as an engineer in Velaiyilla Pattathari [2014] along with Actor Dhanush.

In 2015 His second movie, Naanum Rowdydhaan, went through several changes of cast and production studios, before finalizing on Vijay Sethupathi and Nayantara as lead actors and Dhanush as a producer. In 2018 His third venture, Thaanaa Serndha Kootaam, teamed up with Suriya Sivakumar and Keerthy Suresh. In 2020 He produced the film Netrikann.
