Personal Life:

Srinivasa Raju is a film industry director.

Career:

He is an Andhra descendant, he left Tollywood and earned fame and popularity for directing few well known Kannada films such as  [2008] Sangathi, [2012] Dandupalya,  [2011] Kote and [2010] Nannavanu. His first movie Sangathi was a bad effort from him, except that the movie had the best songs and a few good action scenes and the movie boasted of good cinematography too. His interest in movies direction was closely watched and the audiences like the movie although the critics panned it. In 2010 he was directing a film ‘Nannavanu’ which was produced by Tulasi Gopal. The movie received a negative response from audiences and critics and it had actors like Aindrita Ray, Prajwal Devaraj, and Avinash in pivotal roles.

But his third effort proved luckier for him ‘Kota’ was a triangular love story film produced by ‘Manjunath’ and GN Murthy. It had again Prajwal Devaraj in the main lead male role cast along with the talented new actress Gayatri Rao. In 2012 his fourth movie ‘Dandupalya’ in Kannada languages received both commercial and critical acclaim and joined the club of the highest revenue making films in 2012. After the success of the Kannada version, the movie was dubbed in three south Indian languages such as ‘Dandupalyam’ [Telugu], ‘Kuruthikalam’ [Malayalam] and ‘Karimedu’ [Tamil]. After directing a series of Kannada films, the director landed up in a controversy in retaining the title of a movie for star ‘Upendra’ and ‘Ragini’. His first title of the film was ‘Bsavanna’ which was changed to ‘Brahmana’. It may be noted that the Kannada superhit film ‘Shivam’ [2015] is being dubbed now in Telugu with the title ‘Brahmana’. ‘Shivam’ was a 2015 Kannad action thriller movie, written and directed by Srinivasa Raju.
