Personal Life:
K.Viswanath was born on 19 February 1930 in Pedhapulivarru, Repalle, Guntur district. It was a small village on the banks of the Krishna river. He was born in a Brahmin family to Kasinadhuni Subramaniam and kasinadhuni Saraswathi. He completed his intermediate from Guntur Hindu College and B.Sc Degree from Acharya Nagarjuna University. He got married to Jayalakshmi and both were blessed with three children. Padmavathi Devi is his daughter and two sons one is Nagendranath –Alumnus of Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, and another son Ravindranath-alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur and BITS Pilani. Actor Chandra Mohan and famous singer SP. Balasubramanyam is his cousin.
Career life:
Viswanath started his career as a technician in the Chennai studio. Later in the direction field he assisted Mr.Adurti Subbarao and worked as an assistant to director Ramnath. His first debut as a director is Atma Gourawan but Siri Siri muvva brought fame all over. His movie Swathi Muthyam entered in Oscars in the year 1986. He was awarded Padma Sri for his contribution towards the Indian Telugu film industry, by the Government of India. He also awarded Dadasaheb Phalke Award which is the highest award in Indian Cinema, at 64th National Film Awards. He got prestigious Ragupathy venkaiah award by the State Government of Andhra Pradesh in 1991. He also got a doctorate degree by the Telugu University of Andhra Pradesh.
