Srinivas Gavi Redd will remain at the forefront of the Telugu film industry for directing the newly released movie “Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu” which is produced by S Sailendra Babu, Harish Duggishetti and Sridhar Reddy. The movie features Raj Tarun and Arthana Binu in the main lead roles. It is a love story where the actor wants to impress the girl and the heroine rejects him till the first half of the film, later the hero succeeds in winning the heart of the heroine. This angle narrative concept should have been focused earlier in the plot of the film so that the director did not end the movie hurriedly. It was a flaw in the movie and the audience felt there was no logic to throw those challenges faced by the hero at the last moment.
But Tarun’s clear understanding with the role and smooth mannerisms helped to retain in the interest of audiences by and large. As a debutant director, Srinivas Gavi Reddy had shown the technical concepts of the film very well and the camera work, locales, music ere really pleasing for the audiences. Srinivas Gavi Reddy has worked as a scriptwriter in Telugu films earlier and one of his movies was “ Garam” which was directed by “Madan” and released in 2016 February. It was a story of a youth who faces criticism from his father for being poor in studies and remaining jobless and this character was performed by the lead actor. Srinivas GaviReddy knows the pulse of the audiences of Tollywood and he knows that audiences will always like a simple love story told in a routine manner.
He had been visualizing the film ‘Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu’ while the movie ‘Graam’ was in process and kept updating Tarun about it. And he was worked as an associated director with writer-director Madan when movies like ‘Nagaram’, ‘Pravarakhyudu’ etc were being made. He had learned the art of scriptwriting from Madan and later, he wrote the dialogues and script for ‘Garam’ which was inspired to move into the movie industry after he watched Puri Jagannadh’s ‘Badri’ and ‘Idiot’.
