Pa.Vijay was born on 20 October 1974, Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, India. He is a Tamil language poet and lyricist who writes song lyrics for movies.
Career:
In 1996 Vijay made his debut at lyricist in Gnanapazham and went on to write many popular songs. He was originally supposed to make his acting debut with Thaai Kaaviyam however the movie was shelved after the launch. In 2009 he made his acting debut with Gnabagangal for which he also wrote the script. In 2011 He acted in Ilaignan, scripted by M.Karunanidhi where he was portrayed as a bonded labor of a ship. In 2015 He made his debut as producer and director with Strawberry. In Cheran’s Autograph film Vijay won the National Film Award for Best Lyrics in India for his song Ovvoru Pookalume. In 2016 he directed and produced the film Appa.
