Mohan Babu born name is Manchu Bhaktavatsalam Naidu on march 19 1950 in Modhugulapalem in Chittoor district. he was born to Manchu Narayana Swamy Naidu and Manchu Lakshmamma. He is the elder one and has three younger brothers Ranganatha Chowdary, Ramachandra Chowdary, Krishna. He completed his primary education from Yerpedu village and higher schooling from SPJNM High School. Since childhood, he had an interest in plays and stages. At the age of 14, he used to participate very actively. As per his father’s interest, he pursued a degree in Physical Education from the YMCA College of Education in Chennai. He worked as a Physical education instructor before entering the film industry. He married Vidya Devi and both had one son Manchu Vishnu and One Daughter, Manchu Lakshmi. After her death, he married her sister Nirmala Devi with whom he had one son Manchu Manoj. His favorite players are Sachin Tendulkar, P.V.Sindhu. Cricket and Badminton are his favorite sports. NTR is his favorite politician. His favorite actor is NTR and the actress is Jaya Prada. Travelling and Reading are his hobbies.

Career life:
His first debut movie was Kannavari Kalalu in 1974. Before that he worked in the direction department for about half a decade in the 1970s. he worked in more than 575 movies out of 216 films as the main lead. Peddarayudu is one of the sensational hit of his career and evergreen hit. Some of his other hits are Sivaranjani in 1978, Padaharella Vayasu in1978, Viswanatha Nayakudu in 1987, Detective Narada in 1992, Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda in 2013, Patnam Vachina Pathivrathalu in 1982, Alludugaru in 1990, Allari Mogudu in 1992.

Political entry:
In 1982 he joined TDP, associated with late NTR. In 1995 he nominated for Rajya Sabha as a member of Parliament. He worked towards tackling the shortage of drinking water, initiating programs on health, nutrition, and education in rural areas. He is one of the stars who actively participated in improving the standards of living of many underprivileged artists in the South Indian Film Industry. to improve the educational quality he established a school Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust in 1992. It consists of two International schools and five colleges with different fields including Engineering, Nursing, Business Administrations, Pharmacy, etc.
