Sakshi was born on 19 November 1988. Sakshi Dhoni is the wife of Captain cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Indian Cricket Team Captain. Sakshi was born on November 19, 1986. Her father is an executive director with the Kanoi Group’s Binaguri Tea Company, which has its corporate office on RN Mukherjee Road and gardens in the Dooars and the Terai.

Sakshi’s family moved to Dehradun where her grandfather was a retired divisional forest officer. She has studied from Welham Girls in Dehradun and graduated from the Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad. She has completed her training from Taj Bengal’s front office in Kolkata. Recently, Dhoni’s biopic titled M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story was released which starred Sushant Singh Rajput, Kiara Advani, and Disha Patani. Kiara played the role of Sakshi in the movie.

Sakshi and Dhoni met at the Taj Bengal in Kolkata, where India was playing against Pakistan at the Eden Gardens and the team was staying at the Taj. It was a common friend Yudhajit Dutta who used to be a close liaison with MS Dhoni. He was the one who had called Sakshi and another common friend to meet up with Dhoni.

Sakshi who was a graduate in Hotel Management was working with the Taj Bengal and it was her last working day there. So, Dutta thought of catching up with his friends there itself. Their first meeting was a casual one, she walked in, got introduced and it was done.
