Biography:

Naga Shourya Mulpuri is an Indian Telugu film actor. His first debut is Cricket, Girls, And Beer released in the year 2011. In 2014 he starred in anthology film Chandamama Kathalu which is a National Award-Winning film. From then he continued to be a star in the Telugu industry with hits such as Oohalu Gusagusalade, Dikkulu Chudaku Ramayya, Jyo Achuthananda, Chalo.

Shourya was born in the year 1989 on January 14th in Eluru and lived in Eluru before moving to Hyderabad to start his film career. His father is Shankar Prasad-Business Man and mother Usha Prasad homemaker. He has one brother Gautham who is a Software Engineer. He completed his Bachelor of Commerce from St.mary’s College Yousufguda, Hyderabad.

Career:

He got his first opportunity and struggled for five years almost to make it happen. Every time he was on the verge of signing a film and some disappointments would happen and square him back. With that disappointment, he thought of returning back to their parents and at the moment he saw an advertisement given by Vaarahi Chalana Chitram who was making a romantic comedy entertainer Oohalu Gusagusalade casting Srinivas Avasarala. With no hopes, he got selected in that movie for the lead role. In the movie-making process, he signed another story Chandamama Kathalu which released first. It was an anthology movie featuring Shourya as a part of the ensemble cast. He will be on screen for 20 minutes in this film.

Oohalu Gusagusalade movie released two months later Chandamama and critics noted he delivers a commendable performance. It became a critical and commercial success. His third film Dikkulu Choodaku ramayya was again a romantic comedy hit. It is a triangular Love Story, Son, and father falling for the same girl, directed by Trikoti. The Hindu wrote about his performance that ‘He’s one of the best among the newer lot of actors. We can see the required Innocence of a Teenager, anguish, and helplessness in the later portions much effectively. Lakshmi Maa Intiki Raave is the next film alongside Avika Gor. In 2015 Jadoogadu directed by Yogie casting Sonarika Bhadoria as a heroine.

He acted in Abbai tho Ammai directed by Ramesh Varma and music are given by Mastero Ilayraja Garu. Kalyana Vaibhogame directed by Nandini Reddy is a story based on the present generation, younger generation thinking way regarding marriage, and how they should treat the relations. Oka manasu film directed by G.V.Rama Raju. It is a sad ending love story and couldn’t get more positive reviews by critics. His last movie in 2016 was Nee Jethaleka which was his first signed movie released five years later but couldn’t get many positive reviews by critics.

In 2017 in the film Kathalo Rajakumari he played an extended Cameo but due to its slow pace, it got poor reviews from critics.  In 2018 he performed in Chalo movie, Rashmika Mandanna as heroin. He gained more recognition with this film and garnered positive reviews from critics. Two months later he acted in a bilingual known as Diya in Tamil and Kanam in Telugu which gained good reviews by critics. Later he starred in the family entertainer Ammammagarillu which gained an average response from critics and reviews in the box office. On August 27th, 2018 Nartanasala released which grasped horrible reviews from critics who hated the film for its approach to gay people. It’s a box office disaster.
