Biography:
Murali Mohan Maganti is an Indian film actor, producer, business executive, and politician. He worked majorly in the Telugu film industry. He acted in more than 350 movies. He was elected and served as the Honorary President of Telugu movies association until 2015. He served in various positions in National Film Development Corporation and Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation.

Personal life:
Murali Mohan was born on 24 June 1940 in Chatapurra Village in Andhra Pradesh. His father is Maganti Madhava Rao who was a freedom fighter. He completed his schooling in Eluru. Before acting he used to do business in dealing with electrical motors and oil engines. He got married to Vijaya Lakshmi and both had one daughter Madhu Bindhu and one son Ram Mohan.

Career life:
He started his acting career as a stage artist in Vijayawada. His first movie was Jagame Maya released in 1973 in which he got the main lead role, produced by Poornachandra Rao Atluri. Though the movie got a positive response he didn’t get many offers in other movies at the beginning state. In 1974 Dasari Narayana Rao gave him a chance in Tirupathi movie. As his acting was so impressive, he gave him a chance in his next 40 movies. Jayasudha and Jaya Chitra's combination with Murali Mohan was a hit pair and many rumors passed at that time. He slowly came into television and he was the first person from the Telugu film industry to act in serials. In 1990 he took a break from lead roles and started choosing character roles. From then he served in different positions in NFDC and FDC in Andhra Pradesh state. He was also an active member of TDP and served as president of the Telugu Movie Artists Association.

He along with his brother in 1980 owned a production company named Jayabheri Productions. His first production movie was Varala Abbay which was also the 100th movie of Murali Mohan.
Humanitarian works:
Mohan ventured into real estate business named Jayabheri estates in Hitech city, Hyderabad. A portion of that income is used to help poor students and encourage them to get a better life in society. He established a trust named Murali Mohan Charitable Trust and he adopted nearly 400 engineering and medical students, funding the eligible students irrespective of caste and creed.
