He completed his MA in Telugu and worked as a Telugu lecturer in Attili, West Godavari District before getting introduced to the silver screen. Jandhyala introduced him to the industry with the role in the movie Chantabbai. His hobbies are reading and writing. Due to some heart problems, bypass surgery was done to him in January 2019 and it went successful.
Career life:
His first film debut is Aha Na pellanta as Ara Gundu character in 1987 and from then he never looked back in his career. From then he worked in more than a thousand films to date and won many awards including Nandi Awards, Filmfare Awards, CineMAA Awards, South Indian International Movie Awards, Hyderabad Times Film Awards and many for his best comedian performance. His name also entered in the Guinness World record for the most screen credits for a living actor. He honored with the fourth highest civilian award PadamSri in 2009, for his contribution to Indian Cinema. He is one of the highest-paid comedians in India. All over he acted in more than 1100 movies till now and still doing.
