He was born on 15 May 1988. He is the son of Murali Mohan Pothineni and Mother Padmasree. He has one sister and brother Krishna Chaitanya Pothineni, Madhu Smitha Pothineni. Ram Pothineni is an Indian film actor who is known for his works in Telugu movies. He completed his schooling in Chettinad Vidyashram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His hobbies are Watching Tv, Dancing.

Career:
In 2002, Ram acted in a Tamil short film titled “Adayalam” and he won the best actor in the European movies festival and the producer, director were awarded Notable movie at New Jersey Art Film Festival. In 2006 He made his debut with Devadasu and the movie went on to become a blockbuster, running for 175 days in over 17 centers and completed 205 days in Hyderabad Odeon 70mm theatre. His second movie, Jagadam was directed by Sukumar and it did not do well at the box office, it received critical acclaim. In 2008 He appeared in Ready alongside Genelia D’Souza directed by Srinu Vaitla with the movie becoming a huge success, prompting remakes into other Indian languages and catapulting him to the big league. In 2009 He had two movies, Maska and Ganesh Just Ganesh, the later was not successful at the box office.
In 2010 He had only released, Rama Rama Krishna Krishna, produced by Dil Raju and directed by Srivaas. Ram’s next movie Kandireega was a big blockbuster of 2011 and he proved to be the man of the masses along with his lover boy image. In 2012 Endhukante Premanta with Tamannaah, directed by Karunakaran and produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore and the film was shot in the beautiful lavish locales with a huge budget but it turned out to be an average film grosser. In 2015 he starred in Pandaga Chesko directed by Paruchuri Kireeti under United Movies Banner and its reviews were not encouraging but it managed to strike the right chord with the masses and become a hit movie. In 2018 He starred in the movie Hello Guru Prema Kosame, directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina. In 2019 He starred in his career biggest blockbuster iSmart Shankar directed b Puri Jagannath, where he played a Hyderabad, alongside Nabha Natesh and Nidhhi Agerwal which is about to complete 50 days theatrical run.
