Sunder C was born on 21 January 1968. Vinayagar Sunder Vel, also known as Sundar C, IS A Tamil film director and actor. He has two Children's Avantika and Anandita.

Career:
Sunder C started his career as an assistant director to Manivannan and made his directorial debut film with Murai Mamam [1995]. He revealed that he initially wanted a leading action hero to play the lead role in his movie and approached Sarathkumar, but the producer was unavailable to sign the actor. Murai Maaman did well at the box office and Sunder went on to direct much humor themed movies such as [1996] Mettukudi, Ullathai Allitha, [1999] Unakkaga Ellam Unakkaga. In 1997, he directed his highest-profile project to date, Arunachalam with Rajinikanth and he also occasionally directed action and thriller movies such as Unnai Kann Theduthey [2000], Chinna [2005] and Rishi [2001]. His favorite heroine was actress Rambha; as a director, he made her as his female lead heroine in his 6 movies. As a producer, he produced three films like [2017] Meesaya Murukku, [2019] Natpe Tunai, [2020] Naan Sirthal.

In 2003, he directed two movies Anbe Sivam and Winner. The former was successful and the comedy scenes from that movie became hugely popular. In 2006 After directing Rendu, Sunder took a break from directing in order to concentrate on his acting career. In 2006 He made his acting debut as a lead actor with Thalai Nagaram, which was well received. After his blockbuster hit Kalakalappu in 2012, he is continuously giving successful films like Theeya Velai Seyyanum Kumaru, Aambala, Aranmanai 2, Aranmanai and Kalakalappu 2. Out of which Aranmanai and Aranmanai 2 are the trendsetters in the comedy-horror genre in the Tamil movie industry and he acted in the lead role in the horror-thriller film, [2019] Iruttu directed by V.Z.Durai. Sunder C takes charge as the inspector of the police. The movies were released to positive reviews and directed Vishal’s movie action [2019]. His next project was Aranmanai 3 with Sun Pictures Filming Starts from February 20. In 2008 He sang the song “Vaadee En Kappakezhungu” for Sandai movie. In 2010 He sang the song “Subbaiyaa Subbaiyaa” for Guru Sishyam movie.
