R.Ajay Gnanmuthu was born on 15 September 1988, Tricky, Tamil Nadu, India. He is an Indian Film Director and Screenwriter primarily in Tamil Movies. He completed his schooling at St.Patrick’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Chennai, and later joined Loyola College, Chennai. During his college days as a student of the visual communication Department, he enjoyed making short films and he also completed a Digital Filmmaking Diploma in SAE Institute, Chennai.
Career:
He was selected to contest in the Short Film making show, Naalaya Iyakunar Season 1 in 2010 where he finished as one of the finalists. He then joined acclaimed Filmmaker AR Murugadoss and worked in Tamil movies Thuppakki and 7aum Arivu. In 2015, he debuted as a director with Horror-Thriller movie Demonte Colony, which was received well by critics and the viewers. It was declared a super hit at the box-office. In 2018 Imaikkaa Nodigal his second outing became a blockbuster.
